Job Title: X-Ray TechnicianLocation: New York, NY 10024 Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable) Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PMPay Rate: $50/hr - $61/hrPosition Summary:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced X-Ray Technician to join a dynamic healthcare team in New York City. The technician will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and maintaining safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.Key Responsibilities:Operate radiologic and imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic imagesPrepare and position patients safely for radiological proceduresExplain procedures and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and cooperationUse appropriate radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staffProcess and evaluate radiographs, making necessary adjustments for optimal qualityAccurately chart and verify completed imaging exams in patient recordsMaintain imaging equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and report malfunctionsMonitor inventory and ensure the availability of necessary radiologic suppliesAdhere to infection control and safety protocols in clinical settingsParticipate in ongoing professional development, maintain CME credits, and stay updated on industry standardsCollaborate with colleagues and contribute to overall team goalsComplete age-specific competencies and additional duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:Minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceProficiency in diagnostic imaging procedures and radiation safetyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsDependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and effective environmentEducation and Certifications:Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic TechnologyNew York State License (L.R.T)American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
