Pleasanton Veterinary Hospital is a General Practice Small Animal clinic that provides medical care for the East Bay community and is seeking a Managing Veterinarian to serve as a leader for this practice. About us:
This location is a full service, progressive veterinary practice that provides affordable care in the community. As a leader of the practice and active Veterinarian, you will have access to all the tools needed to care for the pets that come through our doors. Equipment like digital radiology, ultrasound, full in-house laboratory, anesthesia monitoring equipment and access to boarded orthopedic surgical services and radiology will be at your disposal. Potential to serve exotic animals if desired.
Our compensation package includes a competitive base salary plus production, ranging anywhere from $175,000 to $210,000+, management bonuses and sign on bonuses! We also offer 401k, AVMA dues, CE allowance, paid holidays and vacations.
Job Summary
The Managing Veterinarian is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing Associate Veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Managing Veterinarian is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered.
In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Managing Veterinarian is responsible for the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of Divisional Leadership. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Managing Veterinarian are responsible for cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.

In addition, we have a well-stocked on-site pharmacy so your pet's prescriptions can be filled immediately right here in our office.
