Job Description:
As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in our clinic's operations. You will be responsible for managing patient billing processes and ensuring timely payment collection from insurance companies and patients. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical coding and billing regulations will help our organization maintain financial integrity and support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely claims to insurance companies and government payers.
  • Review and process patient billing information, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Interact with patients and insurance representatives to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Generate patient statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Maintain and update patient records and billing information in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Stay informed about changes in billing regulations and coding practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth billing operations and improved revenue cycle management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or medical billing certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and billing regulations.
  • Proficient in using billing software and EHR systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
