Job Description The Custodian's primary duties are related to the cleaning and maintenance of Family ACCESS properties. They work closely with the Sr. Facilities Coordinator to ensure Family ACCESS buildings and properties are clean, well-maintained, and safe throughout the year. This role is a full-time, Monday-Friday position.
Essential Job Functions
Ensure all Family ACCESS program and administrative areas are cleaned daily to agreed upon standards
Coordinate and communicate with other custodians and the Sr. Facilities Coordinator
Act as back up to all cleaning tasks whenever necessary
Communicate with Sr. Facilities Coordinator regarding incomplete cleaning or maintenance tasks to meet licensing and accreditation standards
Make minor repairs and improvements in the building as necessary
Assist in the ordering and distribution process of cleaning and paper products
Follow all Family ACCESS policies and procedures
Work with Sr. Facilities Coordinator to prioritize tasks
Maintain organization through all areas of the building
All other duties as assigned
Preparation, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous cleaning experience
Working knowledge of basic areas of cleaning tasks
Ability to work independently and complete projects according to a strict timeline
Maintain commitment to completing tasks with the resources available
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Basic computer skills
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted, climb, stoop, push, pull, and stand for long periods of time
Ability to move safely over uneven terrain and in confined spaces
Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
Ability to pass pre-employment background check/criminal records screening per Family ACCESS policy
