Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the business office, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management. Ensure timely and accurate billing to Medicare, Medicaid, private payers, and insurance companies. Manage resident trust accounts in accordance with federal and state regulations. Conduct financial interviews with new residents and/or responsible parties during the admission process. Monitor collections and follow up on delinquent accounts. Maintain accurate census information and coordinate with clinical and admissions departments to ensure proper billing. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. Serve as a liaison between the business office and residents, families, and external agencies.   Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred. Experience in healthcare billing (Medicare/Medicaid/insurance) highly preferred. Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting strongly desired. Working knowledge of financial software systems; experience with PointClickCare or similar systems a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
